How we verify suppliers

Every listing on Signage Resource is checked against the supplier’s own website before it is published, and dated so you can see how fresh it is.

What we check before a listing goes live

  • The business trades under the name shown, from the country shown, and has a working official website.
  • What it makes, prints, installs, supplies or develops, in its own words, so we can place it in the right categories.
  • Who it sells to: the public sector, brands and businesses, or the sign trade only.
  • Where it works, when the supplier says so: local, national or international.

Capabilities and certifications

Signage buyers often need more than a name and a phone number. Where a supplier publishes them, we record machines and maximum print widths, in-house installation, trade-only or white-label terms, and certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, UL listing in the US or CSA in Canada. We record membership of a trade association only when the association’s own member directory confirms it.

Sources and dates

Each listing names the page we read and the date we checked it. We do not copy other directories, association lists or trade show catalogues in bulk; we use them only to discover suppliers, and every fact comes from the supplier’s own site. We recheck listings at least every six months, and members’ listings every 90 days.

Claims and owner edits

A business can claim its listing free. We confirm the person works for the business through the official website or its published contact details before granting access. Edits from owners are reviewed by an editor before they appear.

When something is wrong

Anyone can ask for a correction or removal through our free corrections form. We check the request against the official source and update the listing and its check date. Corrections and removal never depend on payment.
