EVM (Effective Visual Marketing), the Glasgow signage, graphics and fit-out manufacturer, has bought the premises next door to its base on Thornliebank Industrial Estate as part of a £1.5m expansion. SignLink reported the move on October 26, 2026.
What is changing
The extra building raises EVM’s production capacity by 40% and gives the business about 30,000 sq ft in total for production, logistics, stock and staff. The new unit is getting a new roof and an interior fit-out, so the company can grow without leaving its long-standing Glasgow site. EVM says it expects turnover to rise from £3m in 2023 to more than £6m by March 2027.
The workforce is due to grow from 36 to 47. According to the report, the company is recruiting joiners and carpenters, digital printing and finishing staff, and installation technicians. Part of the purchase is funded by a £300,000 commercial mortgage from Bank of Scotland.
About the company
EVM makes and installs signage, branded graphics and interior fit-out components for construction, financial services and events clients. Managing director Paul Fennon says the business started as a Glasgow sign company more than 30 years ago and is in its second generation of family ownership. Its event work includes wayfinding and graphics for COP26 and branding for the UCI World Cycling Championships.
EVM is listed on our EVM profile. Other makers are on the sign companies and wayfinding signage pages.
This item is based on desk research of the SignLink report and EVM’s own website. We have not visited the premises.
